Melissa Mayer

Melissa Mayer is a rare Durango native and happily shares her experience and knowledge of the area with all of her clients. The moment you connect with Melissa, you will feel her passion for her industry and authentic care for her clients. Melissa is genuine, upfront, honest and a hard-working person. Melissa was born and raised in Durango and attended Fort Lewis College. Prior to practicing real estate, Melissa worked in sales for a local start-up company. During this time, she was able to invest in real estate and this is when she realized her gift and her passion to help others and excel in real estate. After deciding to pursue real estate as a full-time career, she realized the value of understanding the loan process as well as the sales process. She worked as a mortgage broker for over 3 years before obtaining her real estate license in 2005 so she would have a complete understanding of the entire process. She has been awarded Rookie of the Year, Growth Achievement and was honored with the Spirit Award for her community mindedness and has been consistently a top producer since she started her real estate career. In her free time, she can be found riding her bike or horses around the Durango area. She has been a volunteer coach for DEVO, Durango’s junior development mountain bike organization, has volunteered with Trails 2000, Fort Lewis College and was on The Iron Horse Bicycle Classic organizing committee, which her father and uncle started! You will also find her behind the scenes fundraising and helping non-profit organizations raise funds and awareness. Aside from her local interests and commitments, Melissa travels around the country supporting entrepreneurs and helping others build their businesses through coaching and training.
