Its new forest green steel roof was added 2 years ago. The shed features a locking green roll up garage door 6 feet wide to allow a 4X4 or snowmobile to be parked and locked up inside. The cabin has a matching green roof and a stainless steel chimney, added 3 years ago. A King size bed and two dressers are in the master bedroom, a double size bed with two dressers are in the loft, and a sofa bed is in front of the fireplace. So, sleeping for six adults is available in the cabin. Plenty of level parking area is there for visitor's trailers or RV's and for driving around the cabin and shed. A Forest Service outdoor fireplace and benches are in front for BBQ's and socializing with friends. An office room has a metal work desk for remote working with a view of the Elk mountains! Or, there is room for bunk beds if needed. A New Propane water heater and batteries for the solar system and a 12 volt water pump were installed 2 years ago. The 500 gallon propane tank was just filled by Amerigas Propane is used by an RV full size Propane refrigerator with freezer, a stand alone propane Domestic freezer, a 4 burner stove with a large oven, a new hot water heater for taking showers, and an RV propane lantern. Solar panels and a converter provide 1 15 Volt AC power adequate most of the time throughout the cabin and workshop. Occasional high power needs (like the vacuum cleaner) are provided by a Homelite 115 volt AC 5,500 watt generator, out in the shed. 12 volt DC power is also wired inside the cabin for the water pump, refrigerator igniter, water pump, lighting and to the workshop. Excellent TV/ radio reception, and Cell Phone DATA 5G/LTE internet are a convenient benefit because W-mountain and Gunnison are in direct view. There is a stereo, DVD player and Sony surround speakers, classy solid one piece Black Pearl granite countertops are throughout the cabin. Many matching cabinets are all Oak. Italian marble is on the bathroom vanity counter top. Commercial large stainless steel kitchen sink and counter. Three water tanks: 1 500 gallons from the spring is for emergency use, 400 gallon rain water tank is for household use, a 55 gallon tank is in the cabin next to wood burning stove for winter use. Drinking and cooking water is obtained from Gunnison City with 40 gallons of storage inside. Hot and cold water are there year around because of interior copper pipes, pressurized with a 12 volt pump. A new domestic RV no flush toilet is in the bathroom with a shower and vanity. A New Tote is located under the cabin. The authentic rustic outhouse has a new matching metal roof and is combined with an RV dump station. The entire property is easily hiked with many trails. There is abundant wildlife, many varieties of tall pines, and an untouched never logged evergreen forest, unlimited aspen trees for firewood. Old logging trails aid in getting firewood with a trailer which comes with the property.
